At Fama Sofas we want to act firmly and unequivocally in the establishment and development of policies that integrate equal treatment and opportunities between men and women, without directly or indirectly discriminating on the basis of sex or any other conditions, as well as in the impulse and development of new measures that can contribute to achieving real equality within our organisation.
We establish equal opportunities between women and men as a strategic principle of our Corporate and Human Resources Policy, in accordance with the definition of said principle established by Organic Law 3/2007, of March 22, for effective equality between men and women.
For this reason, we have developed an Equality Plan where we reflect all the aspects that affect real equality, taking into account all details that allow us not to incur errors derived from past customs.
We do not want this declaration to be a document with fine phrases which plays to the gallery. All these documents and obligations are covered under the principle of Honesty which is strictly followed by our company. This commitment includes all decisions taken in the company, as well as any aspect related to our industrial activity.
We are committed to work hard, contributing to take steps and launching new initiatives which help us to fulfil this commitment as well as setting an example for other companies and institutions.
Talk is cheap, and with this commitment we want to get in writing the most important points that we have always taking into account, and proactively continued contributing to real equality in our organisation: wage policies, training, working and employment conditions, occupational health, time management in order to find balance between work and family, sharing responsibility between men and women.
Most of those principles are already consolidated in our company, and others will be put into practice through the implementation of an Equality Plan, which will improve the current situation, setting the right monitoring system in order to make progress in achieving real equality between women and men in the company and, by extension, in society as a whole.
In order to carry out this purpose, the legal representation of workers will be involved. Not only in the collective bargaining process as established in the Organic Law 3/2007 for effective equality between women and men, but also in the whole process of development and evaluation of the aforementioned equality measures or Equality Plan.
